i almost died tonight.
by died, i mean got into a car accident.
and by that, i mean i was on an on-ramp for 287 N and my car spun out into the shoulder and some tree branches, i THINK because of the newly wet ground, but i'm not sure.
i was pretty fucking scared.
anyway.
i love jimmy eat world. a whole fucking lot.
in fact, i love them more than saosin, so that's saying something!
clarity is hands down one of THE best albums ever made.

rahhhhh.
nick was teasing me about it all weekend. "i still have that hoodie of the band that broke up in my room, don't forget it before you leave." "why are you wearing a bracelet for a band who broke up?" argh, damn him for teasing me.
i came back from work at about 3.30, read some harry potter and proceeded to fall asleep. i think i woke up twice in the meantime, once to my mom asking if i wanted dinner (i told her to just save me some or something) and once to see that my dad had tried calling me twice on my cell. i just fell right back to sleep until 1.20 am or so, when i woke up and proceeded to finish off The Goblet Of Fire for the 4th time. so now here i am, awake as can be, waiting for jon to call me back so i can hear about his vegas weekend. and then hopefully sleep enough so i'm not tired again for work 11-7.
okay so jon just called, i gotta go.

high and driving show:
+getting to philly in an hour and a half.
-no street parking
-disgusting bathrooms in philly
-anthony didn't have any photo passes to give away
+amanda snuck my camera in for me
+he came out and talked with us in line for a few minutes. we have the same cell phone = picture messages will be exchanged now. he wouldn't tell me the set list though...
-THE PEOPLE SEARCHING MY BAG TOOK AWAY MY FAVORITE PEN. yes. a PEN.
+got right up front for pictures
-there was a barrier... so i had to zoom... so my pictures look like ass. seriously the worst show pictures i've ever taken.
+video taped "baby girl"... and while the bass is horrible in the audio, it's better than any other video i've taken so far.
+set list- ant came out by himself playing "plays ugly for daddy". that went into "baby girl", and then the other two songs were played in order on the EP. and THEN!!! HE PLAYED AN AUDIENCE OF ONE SONG! the first track to the 4 song demos...holy crap. as soon as i heard the first few notes and the "whoooo" beginning i was like "holy fucking shit, audience of one". definitely was the only person singing along.
-no one was dancing... people didn't know what to make of high and driving i don't think. probably because most of the people hadn't heard the tracks. i know some merch was sold though.. so that rules. i wonder how many people recognized ant.
-the troc has it's OWN merch girl. wtf? she didn't like me much.. but ant said she didn't like anyone. i made up a piece of paper with my site's address on it-- saying there was a free EP to download, as well as some little piece of paper kids could take with them. i know a few were gone.
+i had made up a set of 3 bead bracelets that said "high and driving"... one word on each... thinking ant could sell them for like $5. yeah as soon as i showed him he took them and put them on and said there was no way he was selling them. meredith took them and wore them for the rest of the night. haha that rules. i should definitely buy some more beads when i'm not broke and just make him a bunch to sell.
+merch was 3 posters that colin from tdf/anthony designed and had printed. 20 copies were made of each and that was it. plus some patches anthony handmade... ant gave me one of each poster and told me he'd mail me a bunch of patches since by the time i left he couldn't find the extras (they were in the van or something). fine with me.
-there was a really drunk slutty girl being really annoying in the venue. i hate really drunk slutty girls.
+i hung out with antmoat the whole time!! dude that kid rules so much.
+the format is amazing and fun. i need to find some music by them PRONTO.

tuesday may 11th- disney with the saosin kids!
wed may 12th- pick kimi up at noon, hang out... i don't know what to do later on
thurs may 13th- park/halifax/bno show!! don't know what to do during the day
friday may 14th- hang out with mike or the saosin boys ???
sat may 15th- my flight leaves at 6.55 am from LAX
